Squadron Leader Gaz Kennedy is originally from Leeds. He joined the RAF straight from school in 1988 at the age of 19. During his 30 years in the Air Force, he has flown the Hercules, the Tucano, the Bulldog and the Tornado. He has over 6000 flying hours nearly half of which are on his current aircraft: the Hawk. Gaz has served in Africa, Bosnia, Iraq and Afghanistan. He has been the RAF Centre of Aviation Medicine’s tame fast jet pilot since 2009, flying their aircraft on trials, high G training and clinical flying.
